Fix for the right click touch problem on Surface 3 + Windows 10 (self.Surface)

Howdy,

When I use OneNote + my Surface pen for a few minutes on my Surface 3, often I get nasty touch bugs. The worst bug is that all touches start registering as long presses (right clicks). I have to reboot to fix the issue. A workaround is to disable long presses for touch, but that is less than satisfactory for obvious reasons.

Has anyone discovered a better fix for this issue? I am trying to make enough noise so that Microsoft fixes the issue soon but I'm not optimistic as many reported this in the preview weeks ago :-(

when you get this bug make multi-finger touches anywhere on the screen (eg, take three fingers, spread em out and touch the screen at once) and right clicks will go away (for awhile...)

Unrelated question:- does anyone have fix for onenote 2016 ink disappearing randomly on the desktop version?

for some reason this did not work for me, and rebooting solves it for around 10 seconds, then the bug is back :(

Thank you VERY much, this is a much quicker solution than rebooting. This workaround will save me lots of time while I wait for the permanent fix. Thanks again!

Oh my god this works. I've just started classes today and finally got a chance to use my surface for class notes (its bloody amazing) and I was really upset by these right click bugs. Thankfully a workaround is simple and doesn't require a reboot. Thanks so much.

As far as my own research goes, there is no fix for the right click or disappearing ink bugs for OneNote + Surface + Windows 10. The only hope I have is a comment from Mavis at Microsoft that a patch is planned for August for Office 2013.

I experienced this issue for the first time today, though with Drawboard rather than OneNote. It coincided with unusual static coming from my speakers, which began after playing around with 'Hey Cortana' for a while. A restart fixed both, but as noted here, a more permanent solution would be swell!

Will keep in mind /u/Artkim's workaround for the future.

I also have noticed this problem frequently. I'm not currently using OneNote, but have been doing a lot of work with the pen in art apps (Sketchbook and Mischief). Definitely started after Windows 10 install.
